Friends please buy a copy of Esquire Philippines’ fantastic May 2011 issue.

Portrait of Ms. Florence Ko of Furnitalia is by yours truly.

as well as photos of the books every man should own. I take it as a sign I should work on reading more books.

Thank you to Erwin Romulo, Jonty, Audrey and Ces.

It’s a shame I don’t understand German but heck, hello friends in Switzerland! Please check out the April 11, 2012 issue of Finanz Und Wirtschaft. My photos were used for their article on the International Rice Research Institute in Laguna. Thank you to Isa Lorenzo, Ernst Herb and the IRRI staff.

EDIT:

Photo from April 18, 2012

FINALLY! It’s April. Oh I have been waiting for this month since the last week of February. I survived my 3-month PR stint that ended with a Mercury-in-retrograde’d junket in Davao. It was an experience I’d rather forget but appreciate since everyday was a test of character. Now back to focusing on adding more meat to my stories and getting other photo-related work done.

Just right after I kissed PR good bye for the nth time, my friend Chef Brando commissioned me a photo job that I simply cannot refuse. The task was to document the practice sessions of a culinary school. This is actually my second time to take pictures of the school. And same as last year, it took three long days with baking temps inside the kitchen (less yelling though) and tons of good food. One of the dishes that was prepared for competition was rabbit meat. Even if it has been 10 years since my rabbit “Ibazeta” disappeared, I refused to eat the cooked rabbit thrice who they dubbed as “Roger” the namesake of our beloved family driver. Call me boring but I’ll just stick to scallops.

Last Monday, I went to the “Orange County” to attend Project Bilibid Runway. I was very pleased to see that the New Bilibid Prison got a facelift since I last visited with Gang in August. Imagine in less than three months, the muddy path leading to the Lamb of God headquarters looks like a highway, the hospital now has an intensive care unit and even the stalls are newly painted.

This is my first assignment for Preview Magazine thanks to good friend and Preview’s Lifestyle ed Kissa. It was fun and simple: a portrait of another good friend, Neva, the woman behind Leyende …and responsible for my love for allegro pilates.

Grab a copy of this month’s Preview and check out Philippine handmade skincare products from Leyende: The story of skin

Was commissioned last month to take a portrait of Economist Cyn Young Park of Asian Development Bank.

So friends in Zurich. If you saw this portrait of Economist Cyn Young Park in last Wednesday’s edition of Finanz Und Wirtschaft, it was taken by yours truly.

At the Shoe Museum of Marikina City Philippines
